My Own Family on the 4th of July

     We had TOO much fun yesterday spending the afternoon and evening at my hubby's best friends BBQ. There's nothing better than July 4th in the summer time in Florida!!! Splashing in the pool with all the crazy (tipsy) Daddy's, a yummy BBQ, childhood best friends, great food and desserts, COCKTAILS, kids of all ages running loose, slip and slides, LOTS of laughter, and street fireworks to end the night!  I hope everyone had just as much fun celebrating their July 4th!!!

     I must admit, I don't normally take my camera with me anymore to parties, or to capture "snaptshot" memories, because lets admit photographers, why would we want to "work" when we are "off." I used to do it all the time when I first started, to practice, but now, I leave my camera whenever I get the chance to! However, what I end up missing out on, are the memories and not-so-technically-perfect snapshots that will last my own family a lifetime.

     Hanging out with one of my dear friends, Keila over at Keila June Photography, this past week, really inspired me to take my camera inside the party yesterday, and shoot some snapshots of my own family. I batch edited all of these, except for the first one, (so they are far from perfection, except perfect to me). I can't believe I actually posted them! SO I hope you enjoy a little dose of my family behind the scenes of my photography business. xoxo -Brooke
